We are currently looking to hire a General Trades Carpenter

Candidate must have a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in general building construction.

Your Job:

As a General Trades Carpenter at SMD, your typical task will include:

• Demolition
• Temporary Enclosures
• Core Drilling
• Wood & Roof Blocking Installation
• Wood Framing
• Wood Trim Installation / Finish Carpentry
• Sheet Metal Repairs
• Hollow Metal Door / Wood Door and Frame Installation
• Drywall Repairs
• Vinyl and Wood Base Installation
• Restroom Partition Installation
• Restroom Accessory Installation (Grab Bars, Mirrors, Tec.)
• Structural Steel / PEMB Misc. Alterations
• Finish Hardware Installation

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in general building construction
• Physical condition should allow for frequent bending, stooping, squatting, standing for extended periods of time in addition to heavy lifting
• Must take pride in performing quality work
• Must have reliable transportation to make it to and from work
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
• Must successfully complete a Physical Demands exam
