Community Nursing Services of North East is hiring experienced Hospice Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our healthcare team serving North East, Corry, Erie County, and surrounding Northwestern Pennsylvania communities.

We are currently seeking qualified nurses for full-time, part-time, and per diem (PRN) hospice nursing positions, with competitive hourly pay ranging from $30.00 to $36.00.

Hospice RN Job Responsibilities

As a Hospice Registered Nurse, you will provide professional, patient-centered nursing care to individuals receiving hospice and home health services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver compassionate hospice nursing and home-based patient care.

• Assess patient conditions, monitor symptoms, and communicate changes in health status.

• Provide comfort-focused nursing care and emotional support to patients and families.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate individualized patient care.

• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.

• Travel to patient homes throughout North East, Corry, and surrounding service areas.

• Participate in a required on-call rotation with other Registered Nurses.

• Follow professional nursing standards, healthcare regulations, and agency policies.

Hospice Registered Nurse Qualifications

Qualified applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania.

• Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting; hospice nursing experience preferred.

• Current CPR certification.

• Strong clinical assessment, observation, and patient care skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to work independently while providing nursing services in patients' homes.

• Commitment to professional nursing standards and compassionate patient care.

• Willingness and ability to travel throughout assigned service areas.

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be able to:

• Lift up to 50 pounds.

• Perform bending, kneeling, stooping, stretching, and walking as required.

• Use hands and fingers to operate medical equipment and perform patient care tasks.

• Travel and work in varying indoor and outdoor environments, temperatures, and lighting conditions.

• Successfully complete a post-offer pre-employment physical, drug screening, TB test, and criminal background check.
