Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach

DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dynamic competitor that wants to lead a growing girls! basketball program in western Pennsylvania. The Laurel Girls! Basketball program has been a WPIAL contender. The head coach is expected to coordinate and administer all areas of the program. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced, and innovation is encouraged.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create practice organization, game planning, and game day coaching.·
· Aide the development of student-athletes by advising, educating, and motivating. 
· Utilize team building and character development of student-athletes.
· Perform administrative duties including as required
· Performs other duties and special projects that may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience: Coaching at the high school level preferred;
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to deal with all constituencies within and outside of the district community including but not limited to students, parents, and faculty.
· Flexibility of time necessary to make commitment to varying time needs of the position.
· Ability to work with youth program and coaches
· Ability to manage parents/boosters
· Applicants must possess Act 34, 151, and 114 clearances.
· Successful applicants will pass a physical and TB test.
