DUTIES: Medical Technologists provide information for diagnosis, treatment & prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures & analyses with little or no supervision. Preparing samples for examination using automated equipment & specialized instrumentation, performing numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately interpreting the results in a timely manner in order to enable the clinician to utilize the data when making treatment decisions. Provides accurate lab results. REQUIRES: Bachelor’s deg in Cytotechnology, Biology, Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Technology, or a closely related degree.
