Impact Confections is an innovative manufacturer of candies marketed under the WarHeads® and Melster Candies® brand names.  WarHeads® are one of the most recognized (and tastiest!) sour candies in the world and the fastest growing brand in the market!  Due to explosive growth, we are expanding our production capabilities on 2nd shift.

 SUMMARY

The Machine Operator role is an active and fast-paced role that supports the creation of the tastiest candies in the world by performing a wide variety of tasks associated with the adjusting, programming and safely operating a variety of machines involved in the production process.  This hands-on role sets up a variety of machinery based on the production schedule and resolves operational challenges by using logic, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills.  You’ll keep busy in a fast-paced production environment while expanding your knowledge through on-the-job training- all as you contribute towards crafting the most popular sour candies in the world! 

Hourly wage from $17 – 22/hr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately adjusts and sets up equipment based on scheduled production runs in accordance with proper and safe setup techniques, thoroughly inspecting and verifying before engaging.
• Learns and applies applicable manufacturing and quality guidelines to maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity, speed and consistency.
• Sets up packaging equipment to fulfill specific work orders, including appropriate machine adjustments for bag sizes, sealing temperatures, wrapping speed variables and date printer codes

• Keeping up with general line production goals and quality requirements, expertly makes required adjustments as warranted to support and fulfill customer requirements.
• While performing assigned duties, performs constant visual checks to help ensure all our products meet stringent internal and customer expectations.
• Supports Company SQF and GMP policies and food safety requirements during the production process, including keeping assigned work area clean and free from contaminates.

• Provides recommendations when necessary for optimizing equipment and machinery usage to meet cost, quality and service goals.
• Communicates effectively and professionally in all forms of communication, acting in the best interests of the Company and co-workers at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Strong desire to achieve while working within and supporting a team environment
• Prior food industry and machine operator experience preferred.
• Self-starter, hardworking with a positive attitude and developed attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift up to 30# frequently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment or similar industry preferred
