Pay Rate: $36,270 - $44,390.00/per year. Pay will be determined based on related work experience above required. To be considered in determining pay, all related work experience must be listed on the application.

Position Summary: This position provides technical - clerical support for the entire Information Technology department and maintains information and records relevant to related inventory and purchasing. Prepares purchase requisitions for a wide variety of College technical systems and has primary responsibility for initiating ongoing annual maintenance for these systems from all departments within Information Systems. This position administers the extensive inventory of thousands of items of equipment across all campus locations.
Essential Functions: 50% Coordinate purchases with various departments and monitor these orders. Assist with tracking IT budget expenditures and assist with resolution of issues related to ongoing maintenance contracts with a variety of vendors.
20% Maintain hardware and software inventory related to Technology Access Fee and IT purchases. Assist with ongoing equipment surplus and equipment donations to other institutions.
10% Prepare and maintains IT departmental forms including accumulated leave balances, travel requests and claims, petty cash vouchers. Maintain documentation related to IT department as required.
10% Manage all enterprise level software licenses. Work with vendors to ensure contracts are current and reflect needs specified by staff.
10% Assist Chief Information Officer with various projects as needed within the department. Makes arrangements for travel, conferences, appointment, special events or other business activities; keeps appointment schedule and develops itineraries.

Key Results Areas: This position is the communication hub between the college faculty/staff/students and the IT department. Ensures College orders for equipment, software and maintenance are timely, and inventory is properly managed; IT provides timely and accurate information as requested or required for timekeeping, inventory, receiving, payment resolution, etc.
Job Requirements: - Associate Degree preferred, high school diploma or GED required; significant on-the-job training in institutional processes and procedures is required; extensive use of specific information systems such as the online procurement system is a must.

Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience. Special Skills/Application of Knowledge: - In-depth knowledge of IT hardware and software, and the ability to troubleshoot common issues.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Capability to analyze data for forecasting needs and identifying trends.
- Effective interpersonal communication and clear documentation abilities.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of preventative maintenance for IT equipment.
- Able to engage in the College's mission and values.
Complexity & Creativity: The business-sensitive nature of the specialized applications used in the business and executive offices requires technical knowledge of methods to secure desktops and related network transactions as well as an understanding of the policies
Magnitude of Impact: Depending on the degree of impact, the network and technical support group would assess the impact in an organized group setting/meeting called by the director. Each division within IT would have their assigned task to help alleviate the impact presented. The CIO would be notified as well and the President council staff. This position provides guidance for all each separate IT teams.
Responsibility for Accuracy: There are several signatures required after initial requisitions are prepared, however as an example, it is possible to make an error in obtaining vendor quotes. Such an error might go undetected until the College needed services that were not properly addressed in the initial purchase requisition which would either delay service or result in increased costs.
Financial Impact: This position orders more than one million dollars in software and equipment annually, originating hundreds of orders. Mistakes in this process or in administration of inventory can request in lost time and productivity and possibly misplaced equipment due to incorrect orders and mistakes in inventory recordkeeping.
Budgetary: This position is a requisitioner for all purchases in Information Technology , but does not have budgetary responsibility or authority.
Judgement and Decisions: Employee has many daily requests for support from various staff in IT and other departments. The employee decides how to prioritize these services requests and manages the workload based on understanding of institutional and departmental needs.
Nature of Contacts: To provide information, to get information and often to get clarification. Must deal with every office, lab or facility that contains any computer equipment while ensuring complete asset inventory is accurate.
