GENERAL SUMMARY: The Executive E-Commerce Manager is responsible for the overall operation of E-Commerce including: GoodwillBooks.com, all online sales channels, strategic growth planning, directing E-Commerce leadership team, and achieving financial performance congruent with the values and goals of Goodwill Industries of the Columbia Willamette (GICW). This position has the responsibility to ensure that all current and developing E-Commerce operations are handled in a consistent and efficient manner including shipping, supply and software vendor relationships, product acquisition and storage, and implementation of new initiatives. Collaborates with all department leadership teams to develop and implement GICW’s strategic growth plan.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
Leadership
Must demonstrate willingness and ability to adhere to all GICW policies and procedures, CARF standards, Kaizen guidelines, safety and security regulations.
Foster and demonstrate a positive team environment.
Maintain positive and professional relationship with vendors, peers, and employees.
Resolve employee issues in a timely and professional manner in accordance with GICW policies and standards.
Identify, train, and develop to ensure proper succession planning for assigned departments.
Directs the activities of all E-Commerce personnel in accordance with GICW policy and procedure.
Maintains continuing rapport with employees through “open door” communication and personal observations, in accordance with GICW policy.
Ensures E-Commerce personnel have the tools necessary to meet expectations.
Maintain positive and professional customer relationships with GoodwillBooks.com clients, safeguarding product and service satisfaction.
Department Operations
Manage the development, release, and maintenance of online sales systems and services that support GICW's E-Commerce business strategy.
Direct supervision of the GoodwillBooks.com seller marketplace and any related online sales platforms.
Improves business processes by collaborating with colleagues and internal (functional) teams.
Manage the development, implementation, and review of internal virtual training programs.
Assist staff to develop, document, and manage processes and people to consistently improve productivity.
Institute and monitor inventory management and performance measurement systems.
Establish high-quality standards for both internal and external customer service.
Financial
Manage expenses of all personnel within prescribed budget limitations.
Examine and analyze expenses, fulfillment, logistics, and sales to achieve optimal revenue.
Forecast maintenance needs and capital expenditures for planning and budgeting.
Human Resources
Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and managing employees to ensure an efficient and effective work force.
Direct, coach, counsel, and evaluate job performance of employees.
Responsible for timely intervention, discipline, and appropriate documentation for all employees.
Ensure that all performance evaluations are conducted accurately and administered on time.
Ensure employee status changes are reported accurately and timely.
Comply with GICW employment practices and policies.
Loss Control
Keep premises clean and free of safety hazards. Ensure that safety procedures are understood and followed by all employees.
Ensure all loss prevention matters are addressed and reported in a timely manner.
Incidental Function:
Perform miscellaneous duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Specific:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
BA/BS in Business Management, Economics, or related field, or minimum of five years’ work experience in E-Commerce Fulfillment Operations.
Familiar with a variety of E-Commerce concepts, practices, and procedures.
General:
Must maintain consistent, predictable, and satisfactory attendance and punctuality as scheduled.
Must be able to demonstrate upon request functional literacy and numeric proficiency.
Must have command of the English language sufficient to verbally communicate with the general public.
Must not present a significant current risk of substantial harm to self or others in the performance of the essential duties of the job that cannot be eliminated or reduced by reasonable accommodation.

POSITIONS SUPERVISED: All E-Commerce employees.
WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS:
Works indoors in either a warehouse or office setting. Environment is heated or may be air-conditioned, and may include exposure to dust.
Travel throughout the service area is required.
High adaptability required: Work environment usually hectic (fast-paced) with irregular short deadlines and a limited number of critical or unusual situations.
