Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative is a progressive electric cooperative serving Southside Virginia and is seeking to fill a senior position for Information Technology Executive, in our Chase City Headquarters. Under the leadership of the CEO, this position requires a highly motivated leader who brings exemplary management skills, strong focus on efficient delivery, innovative thinking, knowledge of emerging technology systems, and the ability to manage change and strong customer service skills. The position advocates the effective use of technology to address and support current and future business needs and is charged with managing a team of IT professionals, in accordance with sound management principles, who are accountable for the delivery, reliability and maintenance of beneficial technology at the cooperative, and the provision of comprehensive employee training that ensures effective utilization of technology investments. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology. The experience shall include computer operations, computer programming and system design. A minimum of five (5) years of progressive supervisory experience is required and experience in the Cooperative utility industry is preferred.
