POLICE OFFICER

Center Township, Beaver County, Pa.

Qualified persons are invited to apply for a Part-Time Police position with the Center Township Police Department.  The hiring process will include a competitive examination.

An application form and details of the selection process may be obtained at the Center Township Municipal Building, located at 224 Center Grange Road, Aliquippa (Center Township) Pa. 15001 between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday.  Applications must be completed and filed at the Township Building by April, 3rd 2023 at 4:00pm. An application fee of $25.00 is due upon filing of the police application.

General requirements are a US Citizen; 19 years of age, High School Diploma or equivalency certificate, and be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a municipal police officer.

Also, must have successfully completed Act 120 training as prescribed by the Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission by the time of a conditional job offer, possess a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle License, and be subject to a state required background check.

The starting rate for a part-time police officer is $22.11 per hour.

Applicants will be notified of the time and place for commencement of the written examination as well as the physical agility examination upon receipt of their application.
