Job Summary

BHSH Information Services is seeking a highly motivated, Senior Business Analyst to join the team at Priority Health. As a member of a cross-functional team, you would work with various areas of the business (including Designers, Developers, and Business Stakeholders) to help produce web and mobile applications for both internal and external use. These apps are used by Priority Health’s 1.3 million members and are critical to their digital experience. Prospective candidates should have a problem-solving mindset, be innovative and flexible, and always keep the member’s best interests in mind.

As a Senior Business Analyst for Priority Health Digital Products, you would be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Priority Health’s Price Transparency initiative. This multi-year, government-regulated initiative will help Priority Health provide transparency in costs to our members. You will be responsible to promote this initiative and help break the work down for your development team. By representing the business’s direction, you will lead your development team through building an entirely new transparency platform from the ground-up.

Prospective candidates should possess a “go-getter” attitude and have excellent communication skills. Experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in any Scrum-based environment is a minimum, while experience in a SAFe-based environment is preferred. Strong collaboration skills, particularly with your Product Manager and team, are critical to your success in this role.

This role qualifies for remote work. While you will not be expected to be present in the office daily, you may be required on an as-needed basis.

Essential Functions

  • Aware of the implications of applying new/differing technology to the current business or clinical environment, utilizes research and analysis, along with an understanding of relevant business or clinical systems and industry requirements, to define medium-to large sized systems scopes and objectives, for developing new, or improving existing, information systems.
  • Performs business analysis, working with users to define their needs and then documenting those requirements.
  • Collaborates with others to troubleshoot issues with existing systems.
  • Remains current with business or clinical requirements and needs, based upon future industry trends and changes, and understands the implications for existing technology.
  • Provides mentorship to less senior team members, and is accountable as a role model for customer service excellence.

Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Preferred Master's Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the field Required
  • 7 years of relevant experience including experience formulating and defining systems scopes and objectives Preferred
  • Experience in systems development lifecycle including, requirements gathering and design Preferred
  • Participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation Preferred
  • Background in health care, sciences or information systems Preferred
