About the TeamOur Social Services team is a diverse and dynamic group of professionals, each bringing unique expertise and perspectives to our organization. We serve a wide range of patient populations, including those in the hospital, emergency room, outpatient clinics, oncology, long-term care, palliative care, and hospice settings.
With a strong focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, we actively engage with other healthcare teams to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to each patient's individual needs. Our specialists address various issues, from mental health and substance abuse to crisis intervention and resource navigation, ensuring that patients receive the comprehensive support they require.

Position SummaryThe primary function of the Social Services Supervisor is to oversee and support the social work team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within an acute care setting. This role involves guiding social workers in assessing and addressing the emotional, social, and practical needs of patients and their families, especially those dealing with serious and complex health issues. The supervisor ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration, and provides direct oversight in crisis intervention and care coordination. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for performance management, team development, and implementing quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that care is compassionate, efficient, and aligns with organizational standards.
Position Type - Full-time, 80 hours every two weeks (1.0FTE)
- Exempt
- Monday - Friday, supporting practice of business hours
QualificationsQualifications- Bachelor's degree from a Social Work curriculum; accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
- Licensed Social Worker for the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
- 5+ years of experience in working with a diverse base of populations and clinical care.
Ideal Candidate - Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support staff, delegate responsibilities, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills for engaging with patients and team members.
- House a strong understanding of social service laws, confidentiality, and mandated reporting, along with adherence to professional ethical standards.
- Work independently and take initiative in completion of tasks.
