Job Description

Americas Gold & Silver is hiring skilled and safety-focused Underground Production and Development Miners to join our team at the historic Galena Complex in Wallace, Idaho. These positions are critical to the day-to-day operations of the mine and are responsible for safely executing development, drilling, blasting, mucking, ground support, and other underground tasks in a hard rock mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely perform underground mining duties including development and production activities.
• Operate underground equipment such as jacklegs, slushers, jumbos, and LHDs as required.
• Conduct drilling, blasting, scaling, and mucking activities in accordance with ground control and ventilation plans.
• Install various types of ground support including rock bolts, screen, and shotcrete.
• Participate in workplace inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Perform routine equipment checks, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to ensure safe operation.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, shift bosses, and fellow crew members to coordinate safe, productive work.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Required: Previous underground hard rock mining experience (production and/or development).
• Preferred: Experience in narrow vein mining and working in a deep underground environment.
• Ability to operate and maintain a variety of underground mining equipment.
• Familiarity with ground support techniques and mine safety regulations.
• Strong safety record and commitment to working in a team-oriented, production-driven environment.
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding role in variable underground conditions.
