The OP Coding Specialist works under the Coding Manager and oversees compliance with coding standards and regulations. Advises and assists in improvement plans for coding and OP coding assignment issues. Validates assignment of codes and provides trending and analysis of coding issues.   Works using the mission, vision, and values of the hospital.

Job Requirements:

Required: Associates Degree in Health Information Technology or related field is required and one of the following certifications: CCS/RHIT/RHIA. Approximately 2 years OP coding experience in acute care setting required. 

Special Skills/Equipment: Must be proficient in coding all service lines and chart types within the outpatient scope.  

Salary Range:  $23.50 - $41.84
