Lee Finance, St. Louis seeks a professional to join our Accounting and Finance team as a full time Accountant/Financial Analyst. Our department provides accounting services for several Lee companies including the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Suburban Journals.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this person will assist with the month-end close process by preparing and analyzing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and explaining variances to prior year and budgets. Will be heavily involved in the budget process and complete special projects regularly. Will also assist with internal and external audits.

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required, Accounting preferred. Strong Excel skills are required along with advanced PC skills and the ability to learn several unique software programs. Other essentials are strong analytical abilities, organizational skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Will need to meet strict deadlines, be able to work well in a fast-paced team environment and adapt well to changing directives.
