Optometric Technician/Scribe

We are looking for at least 1 year experience as an optometric technician but will train the right candidate.

Full Benefits are available including Medical, Dental and Vision with 401k/401k match Optometric Tech/Scribe Responsibilities:

· Maintaining patient flow and patient engagement

· Interview patients and document basic medical history

· Perform preliminary vision testing, such as visual acuities, vitals, pupillary testing, drop administration

· Perform ancillary testing, such as fundus photography, OCT testing and visual field testing

· Assist during medical examinations and record findings for doctor

· Coordinate the ordering of contact lenses and prior authorizations for medications

· Send correspondence letters, faxes and forms to primary care physicians and ophthalmology

· Prepare and clean exam rooms and medical instruments

· Assist lead technician, as needed Optometric Tech/Scribe Requirements

· Dependable and punctual

· Strong organizational and planning skills

· Proficient written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask

· Provide excellent customer service

· Friendly, positive personality with the willingness to continue your career with a friendly, team-focused private practice

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.00-16.00 per hour

Bonus: $250 sign on bonus after 60 days with additional $750 bonus after 6 months
