We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team at the corporate office in Moorhead, MN as a Communications Specialist. This position is responsible for creating and implementing communications content and contributing to programs that actively engage our internal and external audiences across all American Crystal communication channels.

The principal accountabilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and promote a positive work culture through company values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.

• Contributes best-in-class communications across our company, fueling employee engagement, influencing connectivity and culture, and positively impacting our team.
• Develops communication materials articulating key messages and implements these for various channels, including e-newsletters, blogs, presentations, social posts, websites, meetings, events, etc.
• Ensures communication messaging and materials are high-quality, accurate, appropriate, and integrated with our priorities and themes.
• Uses internal tools appropriately to maximize our company's internal communication effectiveness and ensure consistent messaging, branding, imagery, and identity.
• Assists in the planning, development, coordination, and execution of meetings and events.
• Contributes writing, designing, proofreading, and editing for impactful, engaging content that effectively describes and promotes our communication pillars and other programs or initiatives supporting company strategies, goals, and culture.
• Monitors and manages the company's evolving suite of internal communication channels and tools.
• Designs, schedules, and executes internal communications for intranet, monitors, and other channels/tools, ensuring up-to-date, engaging, and informative messages.
• Works with various stakeholders to create and maintain content for employee communications and explores/recommends new channels and technologies, or uses of them, where possible.
• Applies analytics reporting for effectively using communication channels to improve the reach and engagement of our audiences regularly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Success in this position requires a bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, marketing, or a related field and 3-5 years of relevant professional communications experience. The candidate should possess outstanding oral and written communication skills, exceptional writing ability, and graphic design competence. The candidate must be organized and detail-oriented, able to work independently or collaboratively, a strong team player, and highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications. Digital and web experience is a must, along with experience overseeing branded social media accounts.
