Job Description

Recent graduate or student completing degree in Ultrasound. Paid position, temporarily intern status until degree and certification requirements are met for Level 1 Sonographer promotion. This will be a resource status role, training consistently and then providing backup coverage for the team as needed, to cover for vacations, leaves of absence or higher patient volumes when necessary. This will not be a position eligible for insurance benefits.

• Maintains accountability for completing support tasks as directed.
• Maintains clear and appropriate documentation of actions taken.
• May analyzes department processes and other Spectrum Health systems encountered and makes recommendations improvements, as appropriate. Participates in quality monitoring activities/process improvement activities.
• Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a team player with others in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services.

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent, along with additional education in Medical Sonography
• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Sonography. May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.
